Job: Project Manager, Dynamo Advisors “help scale tech startups across sub-Saharan Africa”

We are looking for a rockstar to join our team working to scale early-stage companies across Africa.

Dynamo Advisors is working to develop growth strategies and business improvement processes for early-stage tech companies across Sub-Saharan Africa, starting in Kenya. We work side-by-side with client teams to implement these strategies and processes with the speed and results-oriented focus of the world’s largest private sector tech companies.

You’ll be responsible for managing projects for our clients across East Africa.  Some responsibilities will include:

  • Manage all aspects of a consulting project, from clarifying the client’s expectations on deliverables, to managing timelines, to dividing work across the Dynamo team, to controlling the quality of the end product

  • Participate in industry events to generate leads for future Dynamo engagements

  • Dive into data, identify growth opportunities for our clients, run trials of proposed solutions, and scale out wins

  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative research to best understand our client’s customers, markets, and competitors. Use these insights to guide the growth strategy

  • Synthesize findings into easy-to-understand materials (e.g., PPT decks) for clients’ leadership teams and investors

  • Work side-by-side with client teams to roll out proposed solutions and track results


  • Bachelor’s Degree, ideally in business administration or a related field

  • Proficient in Excel and PPT

  • Experience managing a team and coaching people on core skills (e.g., structured thinking, analytics)

  • Deadline driven, organized, and able to multitask

  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills

  • Local experience working across East African geographies

  • Experience in an operational role in an early-stage venture strongly preferred but not required

  • Experience with a top-tier consulting firm preferred but not required
